Please re-test with one of the latest versions of OOo - the problem(s) may have already been addressed. I think that for some reason OO can't save your settings in the profile. For starters close OO (including quickstarter), rename folder OpenOffice.org2 in x:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\, restart Office and see if it saves the changes. In ToolsOptionsLanguage SettingsWriting AidsUser-defined dictionaries, if I make a new dictionary and select it, and deselect one or two of others, it works well as long the program and the QuickStarter is quit. Once re-launched, the selection of the dictionaries goes back to the default values, deselecting my new dictionary.
