All of these loops seem to have the same root cause: the one-cell table 8 spanning over a couple of pages. This needs more investigation. I cannot promise to fix this soon. Meanwhile you might want to consider to use a more-than-one-row table or paragraphs with borders instead. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 77318] Loop while formatting foot notes after inserting a new line
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=77318 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri May 18 12:41:21 + 2007 --- The problem gets worse for my files. I attached three new files with loop situations. The files Support (page 15, after !).odt and Support (page 16, after !).odt are variations of the known problem with new paragraph breaks and soft breaks. Search for the string ! on the given page numbers, put the cursor on the next line, press ENTER and fill the line with words until Writer wraps to a new line, respectively. But now a new kind of problem with loops appeared what is a real problem for me. Until now I was able to work around this kind of problems by inserting a completely new page with Ctrl-ENTER, make the changes on the text and remove the page break later. With the file Support (page 7).odt this is no longer possible. Put the cursor on the very first position on page 7 and insert a page break with Ctrl-ENTER. Even there is no necessity to reformat anything here Writer loops. On my laptop there is an additional effect: When I put the cursor on the very first position on page 7 and I press the Ctrl-key alone without any other key, CPU-activity goes to 100 percent. I can repeat this three times, then CPU activity remains unchanged. On my desktop at work I don't have this effect. I want to ask you if it is possible to get a hotfix so that I don't have to wait for the next release. Thanks in advance. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Now I see that the problem is specified as to be related only to an insertion of a paragraph break. That's why I investigated the problem again and want to add: Put the cursor on the specified position, fill the line with words as long as Writer wraps to a new line. The insertion of a soft break has the same effect. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
