[sw-issues] [Issue 81197] Sub-Document Numbering
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=81197 --- Additional comments from vy...@openoffice.org Wed Mar 10 09:04:54 + 2010 --- This sounds a lot like my proposed solution for #100262. I furthermore experience problems with mixing bulleted lists and numbered lists. When i reopen my master document and say yes to update links, sometimes lists that are numbered in the subdocument are bulleted in the master document and vice versa. I use default numbering and bulleting by just clicking on the toolbar buttons. That said i would like the option to handle headers and list numbering separately. I mostly want my header numbering to continue and my list numbering to restart. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. In the file attached above I the first and second test were highlighted in a file browser then I dragged them onto the navigator. If I drag the files one at a time the numbering appears correctly. If it makes any difference I am using the default file browser provided by an Ubuntu 7.04 installation. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. If you drag them all on at once it does create the error. For instance if I selected part1 part2 and part3 in a file file browser and dragged it onto the navigator from the file browser it creates the bug. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. When I insert documents into a master doc having succeeding numberings, every block is numbered on its own. But when using list styles, it is desired that they are numbered continuously. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I eventually resolved the issue but in the discussion (link given in the URL: field) I mentioned it would be a good idea to have an option in the Master Document preferences to Import exact contents of Sub Documents or Always restart numbering This way I wouldn't have to go through each document and select restart numbering I could simply check one box and all of my sub-documents would stay separated. How often do you create two documents that when they merge they become one process? - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
