I am having the same issue with both Beta 1
and Beta 2. On my system it appears to specifically be an issue with saving
files off to my server. Reading and writing files off the local disk works
fine. When I attempt to save files to my server, (whether brand new, or edits
of pre-existing files), I got an error. My server uses CIFS and has the
permissions set to 0700.
The specific error I receive is:
Error saving the document Untitled1:
Error creating object.
Could not create backup copy.
Two things I'll note here:
(1) The error message doesn't actually have the filename that I specified when
saving.
(2) OOo creates a zero-byte file in the specified save directory, with the
correct name.
I'd guess the permissions checking/setting logic has an issue, but I haven't
looked at the code.
Saving to the local disk works fine.
