when do you expect Fedora update 2.4.1-17.7 to be available?

or alternatively is it fairly straightforward for me to build a new OO
2.4.1-17.4 with the fix?Maybe point me to instructions as I don't see them.

I'd quite like to have an OO that has this fix but does not have the looping
bug.

Thanks all for appending to this issue.

Firstly, I can confirm that it is fixed in OOo_3.0.0rc3_20080927 but with that
build I hit a different problem on a different doc - loops with 100% user CPU.
(Should I report that in a different issue or not as it's not stable)

Secondly, cmc : You said :

This was fixed originally in notes2 FWIW, Fedora OOo update = 2.4.1-17.7 will
include the fix

I am looking for this update and can't find it anywhere :

 . fc9mirror/pub/fedora/linux/updates/9/i386/ doesn't have it
. google Fedora OOo update 2.4.1-17.7 shows only one hit - this issue log

I'm not clear whether you were implying this update is available as a built file
or just that the patch is available somewhere.

Can you please help me get it?

John

OOo update = 2.4.1-17.7 will include the fix

Sorry, strict future-tense. There is no current update = 2.4.1-17.7, but when
there will be then this should be fixed in it. i.e. the *next* update for F-9
when I build it and push it should be nice and shiny in this area.

You should report the other issue of 100% loop separately, feel free to stick
cmc on cc of that other issue on the off-chance that I can help with it :-)

Easily reproducible on F9/x86_64--it happens always on toggle from Web to Print
layout. The problem is not present in DEV300_m31 on the same system.

I've attached a stripped-out version of the document that caused the trouble.
I would ask that you please don't read any deleted text that may be saved
somewhere inside the file (I don't know how that works)

Simply toggle between

View-Web Layout
-Print Layout
a few times and it should happen - does for me

Cannot reproduce. But tested on Windows Vista...

Anyway, please check if this happens in a current and native version:
http://download.openoffice.org/680/?intcmp=1235

If you suspect the notes to cause this crash: they have been new implemented
after 2.4.1.
