Thank you for your submission!

The Default pstyle like most of the other paragraph styles is converted to p
which shows by default a space between paragrphs.
To avoid this, either use the Preformatted text style (which will convert to
pre) or separate the lines with line break (Shift+Enter - br).

Unfortunately, we have no resources available to fix or improve the HTML
component, so that we only can fix crashes and huge regressions.

Thank you for your comprehension.

... which as you can see is quite different, and works correctly.

I can't confirm your specific problem as I don't run Linux, but we can at least
say that XP and Linux HTML export give different results. Marking as NEW and
editing summary slightly. Thanks for your quick response.

Mike, are we sure that we are converting the odt file the same way?
I wasn't using the convert feature, but the save as one

For example, I tried exporting to html, and I got the following (on linux):

cut---
!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd;
html lang=it-IT xml:lang=it-IT xmlns=http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml;

Paolo,
No I'm doing Save As Html... the same as you, starting from your .odt
document.

I've just tried with 2.4 (Pavel's m8) on a different PC and I get (and thus can
confirm) the issue you originally raised.

My alternate html comes from '3.0.1' m34 on Windows. Perhaps this is a new
change in functionality which has made it into the Windows m34 build but not
into the Linux one. You could try the Italian Win m34 from the link you used for
the Linux version to see if you can get the same result. If you do, then it
might be worth waiting a version or two to see if the Linux code catches up. I
don't understand enough about the process to check what's included in what.
