I hope you all understand what I mean ;-) (if not: i am at the openoffice.org channel on freenode) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I suppose you are talking about modifying a previously imported chart OLE object. so, this looks to me that the fact the missing ObjectReplacement has been fixed has exposed more bugs in the handling of OLE objects as autotext. In otherwords what you are describing is a new bug ( or more precisely an old bug that was never hit ) imo you should open a new issue for that ( please reference this bug in there as it of course is relevant ) I think the fact the autotext for OLE objects seems to be not supported for 'native' openoffice formats is telling. I would guess that OLE objects as autotext are not fully supported, probably the best solution would be if it were possible to make the imported autotext OLE item read-only. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. You can test it with a fresh writer sheet (and use Insert - Object - OLE - Calc Sheet), select it (Ctrl + A) and then (Ctrl + F3) to open the autottext list, enter a shortcut and name, and use New. That works correctly, but soon as you have to update the autotext (for example, new version of a customer bill, changes in taxes or something like that, error in format, ...) you should be able to update it. the preview's updated, but not the content of the embedded calc sheet. But I will open a new issue then (it happens in all the versions from 3.0.0 until current trunk) - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. So, this problem isn't as general as I thought. I have just created a test template containing an embedded chart that will demonstrate the problem too - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. All you will see in the preview is the 'Object 1' placeholder ( because the replacement is missing ). Ok you needn't use the preview but could also choose to insert the autotext into the document, same result though after patch === same as above except the preview should work and if you insert the autotext you will actually see the object replacement too. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
