The disabled feature would still be disabled even if you installed that OOo on the latest Suse. For them it would be better to build with the latest NSS and thereby have AIA checking included. That is, you needed another build for the latest platform. Even when build on an old platform one would not want to use the old 3.12.0 NSS libraries in that OOo (same goes for openssl). 3.12.0 is quite old and since then many security issues were fixed. The ooo build environment contains the almost latest version. Have you considered to use that one instead? We backport the security fixes into this old nss. Then we do not need to update all the other applications and we do not break the 3rd party applications.
