Amanda distributes the fulls through the dumpcycle (not all on the same 
day) so as to optimize load. It may be a little rough at the beginning; 
but, once it gets going, it will smooth things out very nicely over the 
7 days that you've configured.

This is the result of an obscure re-entrancy bug that's been fixed in
the latest releases.  Can you try 2.6.0p1 on that machine?

runspercycle  int
Default: same as dumpcycle. The number of amdump runs in dumpcycle days. A
value of 0 means the same value as dumpcycle. A value of -1 means guess
the number of runs from the tapelist file, which is the number of tapes
used in the last dumpcycle days / runtapes.
