You might need to add explicit type casts. ??! Failed to call pg_start_backup I believe the only change needs to be pg_backup_start instead of pg_start_backup. The same change in order for pg_backup_stop. See table 9.92 at https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/functions-admin.html
