I/O-error on DELL powervault 120DLT
Hello, I am using amanda-2.4.2p2 on a dell powervault 120 DLT7000. When I try to label a tape in slot 2-6 , the folowing message appears: [root@localhost wiss-staff_daily]# su - amanda -c/usr/sbin/amlabel -f wiss-staff_daily wiss-staff_daily02 slot 2 labeling tape in slot 2 (/dev/nst0): rewinding, reading label, reading label: Input/output error rewinding, writing label wiss-staff_daily02, checking label amlabel: reading label: Input/output error and this takes a lot of time. On the other hand, if I try to label the tape in slot 1: [root@localhost wiss-staff_daily]# su - amanda -c/usr/sbin/amlabel -f wiss-staff_daily wiss-staff_daily01 slot 1 labeling tape in slot 1 (/dev/nst0): rewinding, reading label, not an amanda tape rewinding, writing label wiss-staff_daily01, checking label amlabel: no label found, are you sure /dev/nst0 is non-rewinding? My tapetype section in amanda.conf looks like this: define tapetype DLT-IV{ comment DLT-IV tape drivers length 35000 mbytes filemark 8 kbytes speed 5000 kbytes } and I use the chg-csee-mtx changer script.
