Dear All, I need configuration document for Amanda 2.4.4 p1 if its available please forward me and I am installing this in Red Hat 8.0. Without any sense you cannot make any sensible things for example if you have ingredients and you dont know recipe you can never succeed Regards. RA.

Have you googled for appropriate HOWTOs? Have you read the Amanda web site? Have you read the chapter on Amanda in Unix Backup and Recovery by W. Curtis Preston? Aside from all that, there really isn't any Amanda configuration documentation. If you want to change that, well, you can write some.
