man amanda, look for 'columnspec', also look in the comments of the
default amanda.conf.  I use:
columnspec "OrigKB=1:8,OutKB=1:8,DumpRate=1:7,TapeRate=1:6"
but you just need to look at your reports to see which columns
can be made narrower or wider for the ranges of numbers you get.

You can change the columns and their sizes using 'columnspec' in 
amanda.conf.

ISTR someone posting a patch or a program to generate custom (XML?) 
reports a while ago -- look through the archives.

There is a formatting string in your amanda.conf that you can adjust.  
You can adjust the width of the individual fields to your likeing.  
Its likely it will not be printable after adding enough room for full 
names, I think I quit adding space when it got to 131 characters.  
However it still reads just fine in my 1600x1200 screen.
