Re: Saeagate IDE Streamer won't work.
Hello, thanx for your help. I am not shure if it is working now, but i found a problem with my hardware. Seems to be a damaged cable which causes problems. When i was trying to read from cd-rom (wich is connectet to the same cable) my whole system hangs. I think it should work now. Thanks again for your help. Bye, Harald. Am Sonntag, 2. Saeagate IDE Streamer won't work.
Hallo, i am trying to get my Seagate STT28000A, IDE Streamer to work with amanda. In the config file i entered "dev/ht0" for raw device and "dev/nht0" for no rewinding device. Is my streamer not supported by the Mandrake Kernel 2.4.7? Do i have to set up something special in Bios? I compiled my own kernel with IDE Tape support as module and i also tried to compile it as a kerneldriver. In the forwarded message you can see the errors reported by amanda. Please Help.
