Do you specify spindle numbers for those DLEs to prevent all 20 and 36 from trying to be backed up at the same time? yes i did the backup are running fine it s only the index the problem I seem to recall some problem with udp packet size and large number of DLEs. well it was what i was thinking of i will search the archive for that.

WRT spindle numbers, they should correspond to the drives per box.
