[AMaViS-user] amavisd-new 2.6.1 - stale PID file older than system uptime

2008-09-25 Thread Eddy Beliveau
Hi!
I'm using amavisd-new 2.6.1 and it's working pretty well.

On RedHat, when doing # service amavisd stop,
the following error message appears in my logs and amavisd-new refuse to
stop

amavis[11902]: Ignoring stale PID file /var/amavis/amavisd.pid, older
than system uptime 2 19:27:00

-rw-r- 1 amavis amavis0 Sep 25 08:07 amavisd.lock
-rw-r- 1 amavis amavis5 Sep 22 12:38 amavisd.pid
srwxr-x--- 1 amavis amavis0 Sep 22 12:38 amavisd.sock

But, it works correctly if I type the following commands
# touch /var/amavis/amavisd.pid
# service amavisd stop

Am I the only one with that problem ?

Thanks,
Eddy

[AMaViS-user] amavis-new virtual domains and config variables

2008-09-25 Thread Wayne Catterton
Hi,

I have amavis-new up and running on a CENT OS machine with dspam and
clamav on postfix, with mysql and virtual users/domains setup. All of that
is working, however I noticed in the amavisd.conf file that there is a
hardset
domain as $mydomain, which is used to set where notfications get sent,
I was wondering if there's a way to set it up for multiple domains, and if
there is possibly a variable such as $domain that will get the domain of
the recipient to use? If so, what other kinds of variables are available to
use in the config file?

Thanks,

Wayne

  Hi,

I have amavis-new setup with postfix. When I try to set a custom
message for the warnings, IE: $notify_virus_recips_tmpl =
  var/amavis/messages/virus-recipient.txt I end up getting a blank
email for the notification. I imagine it's not able to open the
file, but
I'm not sure as to why, I checked all permissions on the files and
directory and they are set to the same user that amavis is running as,
I even chmod it to 777 just to be sure and I still got a blank message.

Which I why you should post the whole .conf file.

$notify_virus_recips_tmpl = /var/amavis/messages/virus-recipient.txt
