I have a friend in New Hampshire who has more Collins gear than man should
allow. I'll find his email address and maybe he can assist.

2009-06-18 Thread Larry WA9VRH
Hi Hal,

I would suggest posting a messgae on the Collins Collectors Association
website www.collinsradio.org to see if you can find a manual.

There is one manual in the CCA Archives but I believe if I remember
correctly it deals only with the individual modules and nothing specific.

If you find something please let me know.

[AMRadio] Info needed: KWT-6 (AN/URC-32)

2009-06-18 Thread H.L.

Help! I am hoping to restore a 1960s Collins HF linear amplifier for
use with a TMC AM exciter. Does anyone on this list have the manual for
the Collins KWT-6 (AN/URC-32) transmitter, either the entire manual
or just the section that covers the linear amplifier unit
(AM-2061/URT) and the section that covers the antenna
coupler/wattmeter unit (180U-2), their schematics, how the PA cooling
is adjusted, and how they are connected. I am interested in either
the original or photocopies of the above sections. Will buy or rent
to do my own photocopying of relevant pages and then return the
original!! The entire manual probably has too many pages to copy.

Re: [AMRadio] 10 Meters Active

2009-06-18 Thread Jim Wilhite
You are being harassed by a nest of freebanders Bernie. Don't even
answer them if they don't give a full, proper ham call. I have had
them make up what they thought were ham calls, so watch them.

[AMRadio] Normal for 10 Meters?

2009-06-18 Thread Mike Duke, K5XU
No, it isn't normal, at least not on 29.0.

Not according to the stations I've heard lately, anyhow.

Re: [AMRadio] 10 Meters Active

2009-06-18 Thread Bernie Doran
I have a question. was on 10 meters a few days ago, band was wide open based
on beacons, called CQ a few times and had responses from two who chose to
only respond by apparently the last three letters of their call, IE abc
etc. What is that all about? is this CB, freebanders, lazy, stupid, or
what? I did not and will not respond to this sort of BS. I hope that is not
the norm for 10 meters.Bernie W8RPW
