RE: Spam Alert: Re: [AMRadio] Pix of BPL hardware on utility poles in Cincinnati
This IS the repeater from the medium voltage feeder to the low voltage residential lines to get around the transformer. This is just across the river from me! Great Pictures... Thanks!. It has to be connected to the Network somehow.. My second thought is that this Unit is a BPL Repeater getting its data from the single leg High voltage side through the long Coupler. then repeated down to the 220 single phase lowvoltage side... this cannot Be a feed souce since I see no Fiber or other Network Connection David Knepper wrote: >Don, thanks for the pictures of "doom and gloom." RE: [AMRadio] Hamvention 2004
During the show, the 2005 dates were officially announced as May 20, 21, 22 at Hara. Sorry I missed the AM Forum. 73 Tim Anderson, AG4XM -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Merz Donald S Sent: Monday, May 17, 2004 8:29 AM To: Discussion of AM Radio; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [AMRadio] Hamvention 2004 Well, I sure hope they don't move the date again. When they changed the last time, they moved into or close to the date of several good local hamfests, which then had to change dates too, of course. The Wheeling hamfest (WV) in particular was destroyed and ceased to exist. The ones shifted forward into colder weather could not afford all-indoor facilities, but it was too cold for flea-marketing, so they fell to half their previous size. So the last Dayton date change was a disaster for hamfesting around Western PA. 73, Don Merz, N3RHT -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mark Foltarz Sent: Sunday, May 16, 2004 11:58 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Discussion of AM Radio Subject: RE: [AMRadio] Hamvention 2004 > > > > It used to never get rained out, back when they held it the 3rd > > weekend in April. He!? It always rained ( or 12 years back it did snow ) in April - thats why they shifted the date. Nevertheless, at least the last two years it was a real washout. This was the first time in 18 years I missed it. There is always 2005. Any truth to the rumor that this is the last year at the Hara. Probably just another urban legend like the one about them moving the Hamvention to Cleveland. HI. Butler, PA. is only a few weeks now. de KA4JVY Mark __ Do you Yahoo!?
