[AMRadio] 10 Meters Open

2008-05-17 Thread Mike Duke, K5XU
I'm hearing good SSB E skip signals from the mid west into Mississippi on 10
meters at 1 PM central time.

Six may be opening too, but my noise level there is such that I can't hear
the weak signals.

I used to work WA5TLP in Williston, N.D. on 29.050. Seems like he was using
a ricebox rig of some kind.

It's open from Mississippi to w9 and w0 land.

I'll monitor 29.0 for the next little while in case someone wants to try an
AM qso there.

I'm hearing SSB from Florida, and a half watt beacon from EM81 in Georgia
into my Jackson, Ms qth.

May be a good morning for AM on 10 or 15 meters.
