FOR SALE: A nice E.F. Johnson Viking 6N2 transmitter. This is a 100 watt
6 and
2 meter transmitter which uses the power supply and modulator of the
Viking I or
II, Valiant, or Ranger. It is complete with all the tubes, an original
manual,
and a spare final tube (5894), The top of the chassis is dusty, underside

and clean. Three of the knobs are missing the small white insert
(pointer) but
the knobs are all correct and the original crystal cover is also there.
About
half the screws that attach the front and real panels to the cabinet are
missing. The cabinet itself has some wear on the corners and a few light
scratches on top, but no dents or gouges. The switches are tarnished and
need
cleaning. I don't have a companion transmitter to try this with. I made
resistance checks at the tube sockets and found that everything was within
about
20 to 25% of what it should be. The manual says they should measure
within 20%.
most resistances were coming out on the high side. Shipping weight would
be
about 25 pounds. Sell for $95.00 plus shipping. Sorry, no overseas sales
or
shipping.
