If you got a G76 that works decent on 6 meters, then you are either an excellent technician, or a liar! Seriously, a 6DQ5 at 50 MC even if it is neutralized is going to be a very poor performer, and modulation VERY non linear, plate efficiency so low that the plate dissipation rating is always exceeded. I spent quite a bit of time with both of mine using a 8.4 Mhz crystal..VERY poor on transmit, and not too sensitive on receive. My conclusion was that the rig needs a 6146 as the final to work 6 meters. You can play with values to get it like you like, I have it set a bit more narrow than stock I think. Backlit receiver dial and meter, the rig looks very sharp. Yes, I never did anything on 6 meters with it, I don't think I ever did anything other than 80 and 40 meters with them.
