Re: [AMRadio] Tube socket info needed
With a whole lot of rewiring you could sub an 8877, too, because it uses the same socket, as well. - Original Message - From: Larry Szendrei [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Discussion of AM Radio in the Amateur Service amradio@mailman.qth.net Sent: Monday, April 16, 2007 5:48 PM Subject: Re: [AMRadio] Tube socket info needed Edward B Richards wrote: Hi all; Can someone tell me if a 4D32 and a 832A use the same tube socket? I am using a similar socket for my 8877 that originally was used for a 4D32 - Original Message From: Barrie Smith [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Discussion of AM Radio in the Amateur Service amradio@mailman.qth.net Sent: Monday, April 16, 2007 9:32:24 PM Subject: Re: [AMRadio] Tube socket info needed With a whole lot of rewiring you could sub an 8877, too, because it uses the same socket, as well. __ AMRadio mailing list List Rules (must read!): http://w5ami.net/amradiofaq.html List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio Partner Website: http://www.amfone.net Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.html Post: mailto:AMRadio@mailman.qth.net To unsubscribe, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word unsubscribe in the message body.
[AMRadio] Tube socket info needed
Hi all; Can someone tell me if a 4D32 and a 832A use the same tube socket? Someone was wanting sockets for the 4D32 and I have some sockets for the 832A. They look similar but I don't have a tube to try in them. Thank you. 73 from Ed Richards K6UUZ Simi Valley, CA. RE: [AMRadio] Tube socket info needed
I doubt it, the arrl handbook has different bases listed for each tube, but if a tube fits in a socket its fine to use most cases.
