Mike, et al, I have one of those old classic top of the line Tram D-201s. With VERY little effort it will go to 10mtrs. Its specs and abilities will make it a fantastic 10mtr AM/SSB rig! To me, that question is kind of like Why run military gear? Of course, one reason is because it's fun. However, the better CB rigs, especially the older classic models, will blow the HTX10, etc right off the table when it comes to receiver and transmitter specs other than perhaps power and frequency tuning steps.
