So Barrie, hows a ballpark price? Russ. Thought I'd but it here first, before putting it "somewhere else". I want/need a new pair of speakers for my stereo system, but the XYL is geeting real hard-nosed about more "stuff" without getting rid of stuff. I'm not a Collins collector, so I may not know the correct way to describe the unit. In my opinion, it's in very nice condition, both electrically and cosmetically. I'm the second owner. It has all known (to me) upgrades (by Collins). Has original owners manual. Has three filters installed, including a wide AM filter (don't have the filter number in front of me, but can look). I have a Collins speaker to go with it, which is in somewhat lesser shape (no obvious defects, just "dirty"). This is strictly a NO TRADES deal. This is not a distress sale. I don't want to go through the hassle of an E-Bay situation, but I will if I can't get close to going-rate here. I'm in no particular hurry. Sorry to the group for the personal reply. I hate the reply to the list. I am on 15 reflectors and this is the only one that the reply goes to the list rather than the individual. If you only handle a few emails a day and one or two lists you can remember but not when you are very active, it is hard to keep track. I know the old story about "lets let the whole list hear what you have to say" and if you have a "personal reply" you can send it to the individual. Sorry but that just doesnt work. Hitting "Reply" is an automatic if you handle a lot of emails. Hello Barrie, I am a Collins lover and would be interested in your radio. I need to know the serial number so I can make you a proper offer. Also the condition and the interior condition. For example is there any corrosion on the chassis. Re: [AMRadio] 75-A4
Barrie, Afraid I couldn't afford your 75A4, but was just wondering about the AM scene up in Montana/Idaho area. Haven't heard a MT station on AM for quite some time now. I grew up over in Deer Lodge and got this call there in 1951 but haven't lived in the state since graduating from Bozeman in 57. Good luck on the 'A4 sale. Fine receiver and don't imagine you'll have much trouble moving it. 73, Dennis D. Bill: I don't know the serial number off the top of my head, of course. "All modes by Collins", remember? That would make it a very late serial number, wouldn't it? - Original Message - From: Bill Coleman N2BC <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Friday, March 07, 2003 8:09 PM Subject: Re: [AMRadio] 75-A4 > Hi Barrie, do you know the serial number?
