Can someone tell me if a 4D32 and a 832A use the same tube socket?

Yep, they do. As a matter of fact Johnson said an 829 could be subbed
for the 4D32 in the Viking 1, with some rewiring of the socket.

With a whole lot of rewiring you could sub an 8877, too, because it uses the
same socket, as well.

I am using a similar socket for my 8877 that originally was used for a 4D32

I doubt it, the arrl handbook has different bases
listed for each tube, but if a tube fits in a socket
its fine to use most cases.

 Hi all;

 Can someone tell me if a 4D32 and a 832A use the same tube socket?
 Someone was wanting sockets for the 4D32 and I have some
 sockets for the
 832A. They look similar but I don't have a tube to try in them. Thank
 you.
