Next pass, 1600 UTC (manual tuning):

Burst of 5 seconds, within a period of 20 second.

My estimate is that the center frequency is around 436.255 MHz
First signals heared 436.262, last signals 436.248.
Shuttle keps used.

[amsat-bb] ANDE heard

2009-07-30 Thread Ivan Galysh
Hello all,

Thanks to Henk for capturing data from Pollux. He heard Castor/KD4HBO-1
but not decode.

Current surface temperature is ranging from 6 to 9C. Interior
temperature is ranging from -3 to -1C. It looks like all high school
MEMS experiment payloads are functioning. Some of the data doesn't look
right but that is part of the experiment. When I get a chance, I'll send
out the MEMS telemetry format and info on the MEMS devices.

This was collected from Henk, PA3GUO.

POLLUX-1TELEMCQ:MEMS 990 2.59 2.57 2.45 -3.112 -1.556 -2.118 0.226

 08cc 0fc4 0036

During the 16 degrees elevation pass I did hear much more packets.
My TNC only decoded 2 (see above).
Also from Coastor I think, as they were close to Pollux.
Seems Castor is less loud (RF wise).
Frequency 145.825.
2x6 elements beam, no pre-amp.
TNC: PK96, 1200 baud.
Radio: Kenwood TS2000X.

Perfect deployment from the Shuttle, and immediately the sats work !
