[amsat-bb] Re: FO-29 not listed on AMSAT.org sat status page
Look at the list of all satellites and it's there. Since it's currently inoperative, it drops off the regular status page. 73, Drew KO4MA Sent from my iPhone On Oct 15, 2011, at 12:16 AM, Tom Schuessler tjschuess...@verizon.net wrote: Am I missing something but is there not a listing for FO-29 on the Sat Status page? ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. [amsat-bb] Pass Duration vs Max Elevation
Lynn, The correlation works well for birds in a circular orbit, but elliptical orbits are another story. A high elliptical orbit could result in a long pass at a very low elevation, or a very short pass at 90 degrees if perigee is over the ground station. Since the current fleet of birds are in circular orbits it won't matter but if you are coding a program you might want to account for possible future HEO birds. I find both numbers to be useful (pass duration and max elevation). Best '73 - de Ed N8BBQ ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. Opinions expressed are those of the author. Not an AMSAT-NA member? I am throwing this out on the BB because I and at least one other AMSAT member is having this problem. Here is a quick rundown: We are trying to use the FunCube dongle with SpectraVue. We select the following in SpectraVue: - InputDevice: SoundCard - SoundCard IN Setup: Microphone (3- FunCube Dongle V * in this setting window we also left off Stereo (Complex I=R, Q=L) checked off. Click Start in the main interface using Continuum. After doing this, no demodulation options are available in the bottom right. What are we doing wrong? Why are the demodulation options grayed out?
