145.940-145.960 UKube 1 / Funcube 2
145.950-145.970 Funcube 1

Is uKube 1/FC2 going to be replanned as well so the two downlinks
dont over-lap ?

(I'm planning on writing a SDR in gnuradio to receive both Funcubes,
and possibly n3xt simoultaneously [orbital differences aside])

[amsat-bb] Re: New Frequencies for AMSAT-UK FUNcube-1

2012-05-02 Thread Graham Shirville

Hi Iain,

Great question - the answer is probably yes!

It is expected that the UKube-1 team will apply to IARU for a change in the
FUNcube-2 transponder downlink to 145.930-145.950 MHz with the Telemetry on
145.925MHz but an official proposal has not yet been sent/received.

Good luck with your SDR

I bet they are still working on the packaging for the duplexer so that the
backpack you'll take with you to carry VHF and UHF cans will have space for food
and water you'll need about every 100 yards while you're walking with your
portable radio.

[amsat-bb] Re: Delphi-C3 (DO-64) 4 years in orbit.

2012-05-02 Thread WILLIAMS MICHAEL
Raydel,

Delphi-C3 with its fold out solar panels is a great satellite and probably one
of the most interesting cube sats ever launched. I made many QSOs through it
before its amateur transponder quit.

145.870 USB will work.

Its signal is very strong, you cant miss it.

It has no batteries so operates only in sun light.

It will shut off at times as it starts its North American pass (even in
sunlight). You will hear it at AOS for a short time then it suddenly shuts off.
At other times, it's on the entire pass.

When receiving, try to get the tuning indicator to stay at 1200 Hz. The no sync
indicator will change to sync and turn green.

It's interesting to watch the sats performance and the data come in.

Having up to date Keps and your computer clock synchronized helps a lot.

GL,

Mike (K9QHO)
