[amsat-bb] HamSatDroid
Hi, Just a note to say that there will be a series of updates coming out in the next few weeks which will introduce some of the most popular feature requests. Also a quick heads up to say that once these are done we will be introducing a paid HamSatDroidPlus version which will have a richer interface targeted at both phones and tablets, where a proportion of the price will go to the AMSAT-UK Satellite Building Fund. More details on this to come. However, if you would like to make suggestions for functionality they will be gratefully received. Something we and others need is a web service that provides a catalog of not just Keps but also satellite capabilities Not a textual version but one that can be consumed by other web services. I've got a bare-bones version working but would be happy to collaborate. 73 Dave, G4DPZ AMSAT-UK Committee Member AMSAT-NA Life Member ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. [amsat-bb] Re: Newsky dongle?
Does anyone know what the conversion spec is? What input range maps to what output range? Seems like a most basic spec, but I can't find it anywhere. Fire up your favorite SDR software. Tune to 100MHz + (+/- the tuning offset from the tuning procedure) + your desired frequency and enjoy! 73, Drew KO4MA ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. Opinions expressed are those of the author. [amsat-bb] Re: HamSatDroid
Hi David, I sent you an email some days ago with some suggestions... The thing I am missing most is a feature to select just a few satellites to quickly predict one or the other without having to work with the full list. I think a way to select the so50, vo52, ao7 and iss, for example, would be great! Some kind of notification to be alerted of a pass in advance a configurable time ... would be also nice! thanks for your software! [amsat-bb] Re: Newsky dongle?
The dongle with the 820T chip starts at about 12 meters and goes to nearly 1.7 ghz, so you can use the dongle itself (without up converter) for anything above HF. It will also receive FM stereo. ...Unless you are using the up converter with some other device. I think I would want to go a little more than 100 MHz (maybe 120). The commercial FM station on 107.1 outs a BIG signal. 73,Jos kk0sd From: jke...@verizon.net To: ko6th.g...@gmail.com; aa...@suddenlink.net Date: Sun, 13 Jan 2013 14:30:43 -0500 CC: amsat-bb@amsat.org Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: Newsky dongle? 100MHZ upconvert so 7.100 is 107.100 -Original Message- From: Greg D Sent: Sunday, January 13, 2013 2:20 PM To: Glenn AA5PK Cc: AMSAT BB Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: Newsky dongle?
