[amsat-bb] AMSAT at HamCom in Plano, TX, 7-8 June 2013
AMSAT will have its usual presence at HamCom in Plano, TX, this weekend. There will be an AMSAT Booth, Demos, and an "Introduction to Amateur Radio Satellites" talk by Douglas Quagliana, KA2UPW/5. Come by and visit with us and take home some of the "goodies" introduced at Dayton this year. We will attempt to operate on as many of the passes below as possible - remember, it's hot in Texas this time of the year and we may not stay outside in the Blazing Sun very long. It looks like AO-07 will probably be in Mode B all weekend and we have included HO-68 as a "listen only" demo on several passes. [amsat-bb] Demonstration Schedule for Dayton 2011
This year with AO-51 and HO-68 on the Sick List and SO-67 scheduled for Europe and Africa, the schedule will be a little slim for the FM Birds. We will do the best we can with the Linear Birds and the available FM Birds. The attached schedule is in UTC and corresponds to the times that the Dayton Demonstration Area will be staffed. Since this is an outdoor area, we could have weather problems; however, the "Weather Guessers" are showing a good weekend so far. [amsat-bb] Demonstration Schedule at Dayton Hamvention 14-16 May 2010
We plan to work as many of the passes in the attached schedule as possible from the AMSAT Demo Area at Dayton Hamvention this weekend, 14-16 May 2010. The times shown are in UTC. Please note that a few of these passes are just before or just after Dayton Hamvention's posted hours. AO-51 will be in Mode V/S for this weekend and we will attempt to work as many of these marginal passes as possible. There is a very low elevation pass of HO-68 on Friday evening during the AMSAT/TAPR Banquet that we may try to work from the Banquet Area. It has very good European coverage. Other passes of HO-68 in FM mode will have the NW portion of Europe in the early part of the pass. All of North America and part of South America will be in the footprint later in the passes. We hope to work you on the "birds." If you are attending Dayton, please come by the AMSAT Demo Area for an "Eyeball QSO" and a look at the hardware and other demonstrations. 73 - Keith, W5IU WinAos QTH: -84.3/39.8 T#: 11821 Sat.: 8 [Standard] AMSAT Demo Area -- Dayton Hamvention Day Object AOS (U) LOS Period maxEl AZ N 39.82040 deg -- W 84.25509 deg 14.05.2010 AO-5111:40 11:5414 42 005 - 211 Elev. 295 m 14.05.2010 FO-2912:45 13:0419 26 202 - 335 Grid EM79ut 14.05.2010 AO-0713:08 13:2921 66 013 - 210 1200-2200 Fri 14.05.2010 VO-5214:15 14:2611 24 027 - 165 1200-2100 Sat 14.05.2010 HO-6814:24 14:4218 29 027 - 165 FM1200-1700 Sun 14.05.2010 AO-0715:02 15:1917 15 003 - 258 * Outside Hours 14.05.2010 VO-5215:51 16:0312 27 359 - 218 14.05.2010 HO-6816:12 16:3119 52 010 - 214 Beacon Only 14.05.2010 AO-2718:21 18:3514 34 140 - 355 14.05.2010 ISS 18:42 18:5109 22 203 - 062 14.05.2010 AO-2720:00 20:1414 27 195 - 336 14.05.2010 ISS 20:17 20:2609 29 254 - 048 14.05.2010 AO-5121:14 21:2814 26 133 - 358 14.05.2010 AO-5122:53 23:0714 38 188 - 340 * During Banquet 14.05.2010 HO-6823:14 23:1905 01 048 - 016 * FM - During Banquet 15.05.2010 FO-2911:49 12:0920 60 177 - 344 15.05.2010 AO-0712:08 12:2921 58 020 - 185 15.05.2010 AO-5112:41 12:5110 12 350 - 246 15.05.2010 AO-0714:01 14:2120 33 008 - 232 15.05.2010 HO-6814:08 14:2517 22 031 - 158 FM 15.05.2010 VO-5214:33 14:4512 39 020 - 176 15.05.2010 HO-6815:55 16:1419 67 012 - 207 Beacon Only 15.05.2010 VO-5216:10 16:2010 18 352 - 231 15.05.2010 HO-6817:44 17:5814 13 357 - 257 Beacon Only 15.05.2010 AO-2717:53 18:0613 20 124 - 000 15.05.2010 ISS 19:07 19:1609 77 230 - 053 15.05.2010 AO-2719:32 19:4614 49 180 - 342 15.05.2010 AO-5120:37 20:4811 12 109 - 006 15.05.2010 ISS 20:43 20:5108 15 277 - 048 15.05.2010 SO-5020:48 21:0012 23 177 - 045 15.05.2010 AO-5122:13 22:2815 88 166 - 348 * 16.05.2010 AO-5112:01 12:1312 27 360 - 224 16.05.2010 FO-2912:41 13:0019 28 201 - 337 16.05.2010 AO-0713:01 13:2221 72 014 - 208 16.05.2010 HO-6813:51 14:0716 16 035 - 149 FM 16.05.2010 VO-5214:51 15:0413 63 015 - 187 16.05.2010 AO-0714:55 15:1217 16 004 - 257 16.05.2010 HO-6815:38 15:5719 80 015 - 200 Beacon Only 16.05.2010 VO-5216:28 16:3810 12 348 - 241 Notes: HO68 FM passes have NW protion of Europe in Footprint as well.
