Hi Folks, i have a problem while i try to listen the satellites on 2 meters like UKUBE, AO-73 and others. I am using as tracker hardware the trakbox and when I switch it on I can hear the IC clock into the 2 meters band of my radio giving me problems to hear the bird. I need to switch it off and track the bird manually. Anybody can suggest me how to eliminate the disturb? [amsat-bb] TrakBox & Yaesu G-5500 Connections
Hi Folks, till now i 've used a Yaesu G-5400B Rotator interfaced with the Trakbox. I have changed the Rotator with a Yaesu G-5500. Since I have changed it, it seems that the Switch on the Trakbox that had to switch ON/OFF the rotator to turn them manually, does not work anymore. I mean if I switch it off to turn manually the rotators, they keep moving to the park Position after I made the movements. Anybody can tell me if the connections on the back of the Control Box of the G-5500 are the same of the ones on The G-5400B ? If yes which could be the problem? Hi to the list, Please apologize if for someone i am making a stupid question. I am going to change my broken G-5400B rotator with a new G-5500 one. The stupid question is: How do i have to set the Azimuth rotator? On the 0 degreese on the left side of the analog display or on the 360 degreese on the right side of the analog display? [amsat-bb] Rotator Yaesu G-5500 and Trakbox
Hi folks, i owned since 1990 the Rotator G-5400B together with the Trakbox. As I have problem with it and as have renewed my antennas, I decided to change the Also the rotator and have bought the Yaesu G-5500. Today I received and set it up to see if it works perfectly before I install it On the roof. I saw a difference between the old and the new control box, in fact the azimuth display of the old one Shows starting from left to right the following scale: 180 - 225 - 270 - 315 - 0 - 45 - 90 - 135 - 180 360 S WN E S While the new one shows starting from left to right the following scale: 0 - 90- 180 - 270 - 360 - 90 NE S W N E Do not know why these difference and sounds so strange to me as I have used For a long time the old one. Continuing with my settings, I have plugged the cable from the new Control box and the Trakbox and as I have as parking 270°, I saw the azimuth needle going to the left and it stops on About 90° E. The needle seem to be on the right position but not on the right side. At this time I'm a bit confused. Anybody can help me to get out of this confusion? Hi Folks, hope in an help to solve my problem with my Rotator Yaesu G-5400B. Today i was tracking the ISS, ad while i was tracking it I got The AO-51 in AOS. As I am using the Trackbox, and i did not have under my eyes the control box, I heard the Trackbox passing from ISS to AO-51. I gave an eye to the control box and saw it was stuck at 35 degrees and it did not go down to the 0 degrees to start the AOS. I have pulled out the connector which connects the control box to the Track box and tried manually To bring down the antennas. I've tried to press the "DOWN" switch, but they did not move from that position. I've tried to press the "UP" switch and noticed that the antennas moves going up. Then i have tried also with the "RIGHT" and "LEFT" switches of the Azimuth and noticed also that the antennas moves in both sides. At the end i can say that the antenna moves in all the positions except for down. Please anybody can tell me what is happened? As the antennas are now stuck at 45 degrees i am afraid that the wind can cause problems. I Hope in an help. Any help will be really appreciated. I've tried during the whole pass to tx on the uplink frequencies moving a bit up and down but nothing to do, i did not get any response. I have tried with two TNC with a TINY-2 and with a TNC3S but had the same result. I saw in the queue for the whole pass OZ7SAT. I would like to know which is the correct frequency to TX. Unfortunately i do not know and also cannot find OZ7SAT's email address so if he read this message can please email me the correct frequency. Any help will be really appreciated. 73's de Enzo IK8OZV Inviato da iPhone ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. Opinions expressed are those of the author. Not an AMSAT-NA member?
