I have a 2 meter cross polarized yagi array. Not sure of the make, possibly a
Cushcraft. The driven elements are folded dipoles and the measured SWR is
currently 1.5:1 (most resonant) at the uplink frequencies for the birds. Since
there is no mechanical matching device, how does one tune for the lowest SWR??
The coaxial baluns and the antenna are in good condition and look to be
original, The matching transformer is a small barrel type and is also in good
condition. Certainly the !.5:1 SWR is usable and with a preamp signals will be
good most of the time. But the current value is like a Nat.. it bugs me. Any
assistance or direction to other documentation ( exhausted the web) would be
much appreciated. Off the BBS replies will be fine as it will keep the daily
listings shorter.
Thanks,
