[amsat-bb] HO68

2011-07-19 Thread Ellis Foley

Return Mail to wa1rks@yahoo.comCan anyone give me an update as to the statis of
HO-68? I used to be able to access the web site, but can't even do that now? I
know the Bcn is working but what about the rest of the bird? I seemed to have
missed something somewhere? Thanks! Ellis

[amsat-bb] HO68 status

2011-01-26 Thread John Geiger
Is there a webpage that shows the current on/off times for HO68? The one
that you link to from the satellite status page on the AMSAT website hasn't
been updated since December.

[amsat-bb] HO68 1706z Pass???

2011-01-15 Thread Zachary Beougher
I did not hear HO68 a few minutes ago when I went out for the 1706z pass – can
anyone confirm that? I have had some station issues lately, so maybe the issue
is on my end. From what I understood in Alan’s email yesterday, HO68 was back
in operation.

time ,in fact ive stopped using the bird,as the passes just are not worth
looking at,id like very much to work the states {central} more from the uk,but
its not on or the pases are no good...thus ive lost interest...shame! paul

[amsat-bb] HO68 Pass

2010-02-08 Thread Edward Cole
I copied two stations on SSB at 435.733 for the second half of pass
#732, 10:30-10:50 utc. They did not pass call signs while I listened.

I hadn't reprogrammed he FT-847 for SSB so my uplink was on the wrong
freq. but Rx signals were "arm-chair" until elevation < 10 deg. Not
too bad for omni-directional antennas. I looked up the freq. info
after the pass and discovered why I didn't hear my self (uplinking at
145.825). I now have a separate satellite memory setup for the SSB
freq. of HO68 (435.740Rx/145.950Tx).

The next pass is for 0020-0105, Feb. 9. My window will be
0052-0109utc when HO-38 is mainly over arctic Canada and no footprint
for lower-48. It is a ascending pass so I will have about ten min of
coverage (0055-0105). Look for me on SSB.

[amsat-bb] HO68 2Feb2010 0427z FM/DIG

2010-02-01 Thread John Papay
This pass was quite the combination of voice and packet
traffic. KL4E was on from BP51 Eagle River AK at the end.
N7HYF in DN52 WY also made an appearance.

Below is the packet traffic I copied. The date/time stamps
were inserted by the TNC to show when they were received. At
times the traffic was intense.

[amsat-bb] HO68 is GREAT

2009-12-23 Thread Danny Casier
Hallo satboys,

HO68 (XW-1) linear transponder is great.
I worked ST2NH, ON, I, F, OE, SP, and G
The max elivation was 67° and i had to reduce the power from 30°. I heard
distortion on full power.
I could work the sat from 1° elevation with the 8 el horizontal polarisation.

This is a great job from the Chinees hams. Congrats.

Merry Chrismas.
