[amsat-bb] ARISSat-1 heard
I heard ARISSat-1 loud and clear at 15:55 UTC pass. Did not decode any telemetry due to bad sound card setup :( Data transmission and CW sounded very healthy indeed. -jari oh3uw ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. [amsat-bb] ARISSat-1 Heard Over Merritt Island, FL
ARISSat-1 heard on 145.950 FM on Tuesday, August 16 at 2341 UTC. Nothing was heard from AOS to Zenith point (overhead my QTH). I initially thought the satellite battery had failed. Then to my surprise I heard very weak voice ID while it was tracking over Merritt Island, FL. My satellite program showed that the satellite was: AZ: 69 EL:+58. 73's Mike Schaffer KA3JAW Tampa, Florida EL87 ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. Opinions expressed are those of the author. [amsat-bb] ARISSat-1 HEARD over West Malaysia 12 Aug 2151 UTC
Dear All, After seeing so many NOT heard reports, I am pleased to inform that I heard ARISSat-1 as below: 12 August, 2151 Hours, all time UTC or 13 August, 0551 Hours, MYT Maximum elevation: 3 degrees FM Voice Telemetry: Battery Voltage 35.66v Battery Current (unfortunately there seems to be no +ve or -ve announcement) 34 mA It seems like ARISSat-1 is in low power mode but I might be wrong, as I cant differentiate low power and emergency mode. I have a 57 degrees pass in 1 hrs 20 miutes from now and will try to listen out for FM and BPSK telemetry. 73, Sion Chow Q. [amsat-bb] ARISSAT-1 Heard in VE9
From the east coast of Canada, heard all components of the ARISSAT-1 signal (CW, BPSK, SSTV, FM voice) in the passes beginning at the following times: 05:00, 08:12, 09:50, 11:25Z These were recorded overnight with a FCD using a set LO frequency of 145,910 kHz. This ensured that all telemetry was recorded (but clear of the centre spike), and FM was recorded well, except at the very early part of passes, when it might be expected to be lost in noise anyway (I have an omni antenna). Hooray for the hard work and cooperation that has led to this ARISSAT-1 success, and hooray for the FCD! 73, Bruce VE9QRP -- http://ve9qrp.blogspot.com ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org.
