[amsat-bb] LitSat-1 decayed

2014-05-23 Thread Paul Stoetzer
Looks like LitSat-1 decayed overnight.

Too bad we never got to try out the linear transponder over North America.

LituanicaSAT-1 is still up there and expected to decay around June
29th (per http://www.satflare.com/track.asp?q=39571#TOP).

Interesting that the orbits of two CubeSats deployed at the same time
are decaying much differently. Since the two satellites are identical
in size, the antenna configuration and mass must be more favorable on
LituanicaSAT-1.

Well spotted Paul.

It's certainly worth any CubeSat deployed from the ISS or into a low orbit to
be as close to the maximum 1.3kg as possible.

Thanks

David

[amsat-bb] LITSAT-1

2014-05-03 Thread John / NS1Z
Looking for reality check. Haven’t been able to hear anything yet. I have
verified tracking comparing my SatPC32 to an online tracking site.
The two agree or at least seem to.

Any suggestions

[amsat-bb] LitSat-1 Decoder

2014-04-21 Thread Bruce Brown
Hello…

I am having a problem with the V1.83 decoder from the Litsat website.

It copies the rawdata, converts it to Hex but will not decode hex file to text
file.

Any one else seeing this problem??

Also…anyone using a hardware tnc with this program successfully?

[amsat-bb] LitSat-1 and LituanicaSat-1 candidate objects

2014-03-05 Thread Ken Swaggart
Here's my take on who's who based on observing AOS over the Pacific and an
email from Mike Rupprecht, DK3WN:

LituanicaSat-1 = 1998-067EL (catalog number 39567)

LitSat-1 = 1998-067EM (catalog number 39568)

[amsat-bb] LitSat-1 candidate object

2014-03-04 Thread Ken Swaggart
Based on a high elevation pass (82 deg) with satellite rise over the Pacific,
1998-067EM (39568) is a very good fit. AOS was within 10 seconds of predicted
AOS. Doppler correction tracked good through TCA.
