It depends on where you are located in the area. Here on the north side, only heavy rain. THAT video is amazing...for those of us that don't experience that kind of weather, the video sure brings it home. Ted & others, Thanks for your inquiry. Forney (near my QTH but we're fine), Arlington, Lancaster all took hits. Forney had maybe 20-30 homes destroyed. So far no lives lost. Cell tower gone. I don't know the #'s for Arlington or Lancaster. The latter had semi trailers thrown up in the air and back down onto others at a freight terminal. In the DFW metro there are est'd 45,000 without electricity. 73 & Kind regards, Lowell K9LDW EM12sr -- Original Message -- Received: Tue, 03 Apr 2012 05:21:18 PM CDT From: "Ted" To: "'John Magliacane'" , Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: Dallas -FW weather.. > THAT video is amazing...for those of us that don't experience that kind of > weather, the video sure brings it home. > > God Bless all those folks...we will pray for you > > Ted, K7TRK > > -Original Message- > From: amsat-bb-boun...@amsat.org [mailto:amsat-bb-boun...@amsat.org] On > Behalf Of John Magliacane > Sent: Tuesday, April 03, 2012 2:48 PM > To: amsat-bb@amsat.org > Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: Dallas -FW weather.. > > --- On Tue, 4/3/12, Ted wrote: > > > Major tornado activity in Dallas - FW area right now. > > > > > > > > Hopefully all are safe. > > > > Ditto. > > Here's a video clip showing tractor trailers being tossed around like tissue > paper: > > http://www.wfaa.com/video?id=145976065&sec=553117 > > I suppose the "packet bursts" in the audio are EAS packets? > > > 73, de John, KD2BD > > -- > Visit John on the Web at: > > http://kd2bd.ham.org/ > > ___ > Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org.
