Make sure CO-56 is not selected to your group. I had the same trouble until
removing it. It's no longer in orbit, so the Keps must be omitted from the
file.

Good luck,

I get the same problem myself, but ONLY on the 12.8 version of SatPC32.

I have the exact same setup on 12.7, and it works just fine.

Even copied the same amateur.txt and Doppler.sqf files from one to the other
just to ensure I didn't have a typo somewhere.

[amsat-bb] Re: satpc ?

2010-06-18 Thread Alan P. Biddle
Bob,

This, from the web site, looks like your problem. You can get the patch or
latest version there.

Alan
WA4SCA

5. Patches

a. SatPC32/Wisat32 patch
The ZIP file that can be downloaded with the link below contains revised
SatPC32.Exe and Wisat32.Exe files (English demo version for North American
users).

The files that come with the 12.8a setup file cause a math error (message:
"Ungueltige Gleitkommaoperation" = "Invalid floating point operation") in
the following case:
a. In menu "Optons" the SGP8SDP8 model has been chosen (the SGP4SDP4 model
works flawlessly).
b. An element in the Keplerian data set ("bstar drag term", data line #1,
col. 54 - 60) contains the value 0. Presently (Dec. 2009) that is the case
with data sets for HO-68.

Selecting the SGP4SDP4 model fixes the problem also. The results of both
models are of equal precision.

Further, the revised SatPC32.Exe file fixes the following error:
When the program's "Priority" function automatically switchs to a satellite
it will set a possible converter or transverter offset to 0. So, the radio
will not be tuned to the required downlink or uplink frequency.

[amsat-bb] Re: SatPC Win List Error

2012-06-20 Thread George Henry
The first error translates as "invalid numeric input"... your keps may be
corrupt, or you may have selected a satellite which has re-entered. WinListen
and WinAOS use the same keps file as SatPC32, so I would suggest downloading
fresh keps, or downloading them from a different provider, and then try running
it again.

George,

Both SATPc and WinAOS work fine, so if they are pulling the same set of
keps, I'm not certain that's the issue. I may try a reinstall.

Thanks for the ideas.

[amsat-bb] Re: SatPC Win List Error

2012-06-21 Thread Erich Eichmann

Rick,
make sure that WinListen uses the same Keps file as SatPC32 and WinAOS.
In SatPC32 you can see the path to the Keps file in the foot line of menu
"Satellites" and the filename in the left list of that menu.
In WinListen click menu File|Open and navigate to that Keps file and choose
it.

All,

I'm trying to get some predictions for Field day on winlist and when
I open the program get the following error: ungültige numerische eingabe.

I think it has something to do with finding the kep files, since if I
click anything else it takes me to a file open dialog. I select a file
and then try to change the default location and I get this error:
e/a-Febleu 32

has anyone seen these issues and know how to beat them?

Thanks in advance.

Joe,

Are you using the special SATPC32ISS program? It will be in the Windows
program menu. It is needed for modes where the TX and RX are in the same
band.

I am helping out with the organization of a station that will be
activated at the Boy Scout Jamboree.
They will have a scheduled ISS contact at some point as well as other
activity on the various satellites. We have SatPC set up and running well.
When we switch to the ISS 144/144 setting in CAT control the TS-2000
does not switch
the sub band to the right frequency. We can set the coordinated
frequency into
a channel and just do split operation I guess but would like to know why
SatPC will not do it.
Thanks for any help.

Are you using SatPC32 or SatPC32ISS? SatPC32ISS is a special version
designed for same band ISS use. It is located in the same folder as SatPC32.

[amsat-bb] Re: SatPC 32 CAT / track doppler in my ICOM 910H

2010-06-28 Thread George Henry
First, are you using a "real" serial port or a USB-to-serial adapter?  Second,
have you confirmed that the software and the radio are both set to the same
baud rate and device address?  And finally, what CAT delay setting are you
using in SatPC32?

Mine works perfectly with either type of interface at 9600 baud, default
address of $60, and a CAT delay of 70.
