That doesn't look like NetPresenz log format, even though Analog seems to think that it is. It looks more like WebSTAR format but missing the LOG_FORMAT line. I can almost get the format from just the sample you sent, but the mail system has a habit of changing things around a little so I can't be sure of a few points. Is it possible for you to send me a few lines from the log as an attachment, so the mail system won't mess them up? Re: [analog-help] Logfile size limit
You may be able to get away with FILELOWMEM 3 and no other LOWMEMs. There again, you may not. -- Stephen Turner[EMAIL PROTECTED]http://www.statslab.cam.ac.uk/~sret1/ Statistical Laboratory, 16 Mill Lane, Cambridge CB2 1SB, England "Ad infinitum, if not ad nauseam." Re: [analog-help] Logfile size limit
Stephen Turner wrote: > Have you read about the LOWMEM commands? That usually fixes it. > Thanks. Switching the HOSTLOWMEM to 3, and switching every report off got analog to process all the files!! It gave me the summary totals, but I would like to be able to list the usage by HOSTS. Because it's a proxy log that's being analysed, the biggest part is the list of sites/files accessed or requested. So in this case it would be useful to switch off the aliasing associated with the DIRECTORY section. However, I've run it with HOSTLOWMEM to 2, and all the other settable LOWMEM settings to 3 and that seems to have run successfully. The moral seems to be to switch off everything you don't need, even if you don't think it's relevant. wallace. -- == Wallace Nicoll [EMAIL PROTECTED] City of Edinburgh Council IT Services, Chesser House, 500 Gorgie Road,Phone : 0131 469 5343 Edinburgh, EH11 3YJ, ScotlandFax : 0131 469 5335 == This is the analog-help mailing list.
