[analog-help] Excluding our host from reports

2005-05-17 Thread Cameron Biggart
Ok so I'm obviously doing something wrong, who wants to tell me what it is?
Running Analog 6.0 and I looked up the references found the HOSTEXCLUDE
command and have in my analog.cfg file:
HOSTEXCLUDE yaffa.com.au
HOSTEXCLUDE 203.111.75.195
HOSTEXCLUDE 128.1.1.*
HOSTEXCLUDE 192.168.120.*
which are all the permutations I can think of for our internal hosts. A
sample of a relivant log file that I would like ignored looks like:
2004-11-28 23:17:55 203.111.75.195 - 203.111.75.197 80 GET
/nah/helpinfo.gif - 304
Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+98;+OZHARLIT6.0_1)
2004-11-28 23:18:26 203.111.75.195 - 203.111.75.197 80 POST
/nah/default.asp - 200
Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+98;+OZHARLIT6.0_1)
2004-11-28 23:18:39 203.111.75.195 - 203.111.75.197 80 POST
/nah/default.asp - 200
Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+98;+OZHARLIT6.0_1)
so it looks like the 203.111.75.195 should hit and be ignored, however a
quick peek at:
http://www2.yaffa.com.au/ServerStats.htm
in the Organisation report sections shows the yaffa.com.au as the
largest acceser - we aren't being ignored?
Any clues on how to fix this and make ourselves invisible in the reports?

[analog-help] Excluding our host from reports

2005-05-17 Thread Cameron Biggart
Thanks to Aengus.
My post wasn't mailed back to me and I only saw your reply in the archives.
The hosts report did the trick and showed me I needed to catch
news.yaffa and public.yaffa in the exclusions.

Now to work out the config files for different reports for each of the
surveys we have running.

HOSTEXCLUDE excludes hosts. If your organization report indicates that
you're still getting hits from hosts that you think should be excluded, turn
on the Host Report to see exactly what you need to HOSTEXCLUDE.
