That is precisely the same log format my server produces. I think
it's an Apache format, but when I first ran Analog I had added lines at
the top of my log files and Analog didn't recognize them. Not knowing
what was wrong, I constructed LOGFORMAT commands until I got it right.
Today, my log files no longer contain editing but I still use the
LOGFORMAT command.

Probably not ... you've omitted the [brackets] and added a space in
the date/time, among other differences. I use this:

LOGFORMAT (%s - - [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j] "%j %r %j" %c %b "%f" "%B")

hi!
did that and still mising browser stats :(
I changed the logfile to the one below and still won't work to display
the client browser
stats...maybe it's the LOGFORMAT command missing in Analog's
config file but will have to test this later:

127.0.0.1 - - [18/Mar/2005:18:42:51 +0800] "GET /images/atom1a.gif
HTTP/1.1" 304 - "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 4.0)"
127.0.0.1 - - [18/Mar/2005:18:42:51 +0800] "GET /images/atom3b.jpg
HTTP/1.1" 304 - "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 4.0)"

would this do it?
LOGFORMAT (%s - - %d/%m/%y %h:%n:%am, %r, %c, - %B)
Your original post included the referrer, which would match the Combined
Log Format. You probably want to include referrer data. Especially if
you want to track search engine queries.

See the examples at the end of http://analog.cx/docs/logfmt.html for
details on Combined Logfile Format.

The format you need for the log line you are showing would be something
like this:

LOGFORMAT (%S %j %u [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j] "%j%w%r%wHTTP%j" %c %b "%B")

The log file format you show below has duplicate data in it. If you
change your format to end after the browser entry, it will be Combined
Logfile Format which Analog can recognize without any problem.

Beyond that, I am not sure I understand what problem you are hanving.

hi!
i'm having problems on displaying Browser statistics for Netscape
enterprise
server 4.1. I got Analog (and reportmagic) to work...but i need stats
on browser
and IP addresses maybe a breakdown on country of origin (maybe a
separate script for that)

i changed log format from CLF to a custom format that gave me these
sample logs.
I'm using firefox and IE and also part of logs from my nikto scan.
maybe netscape has the problm here but cant find (so far) netscape
mailing list
on google :(
