[android-developers] ADT in Eclipse hangs Windows XP
Since some version of Android SDK tools (I guess 17) I experience occasional (quite often actualy) hangs of my PC. Outside of Eclipse I have completely no problems with it. While it is always admirable to shoot for the top, and understanding the desire to be recognized for your achievements, don't let others define you and tell you your value or the measure of your talent. Nearly every genius that has ever walked the Earth was ridiculed by the establishment and by normal folks who couldn't see beyond mediocrity, and nearly every great achievement has been accomplished by someone who was told they'd never succeed. Nuts to everyone else and what they say -- many if not most will never see what you can. Walk to the beat of your own drum. Let what you put your hands to be all you, so that your greatest trophy is being able to look in the mirror knowing you gave it your all, and you can sleep well. Thank you for the words of wisdom. That is very much on topic to discuss the why as long as we are discussing the how. To be clear, I don't think becoming a Top Developer as something that is essential for my self esteem. I am more interested in the cost/benefit analysis. At this point, trying to get multiple apps with a million installs at least sounds fun, while setting up the political connections may be a bit beyond my usual ability. Good luck...whoever started this thread -- create something great. That would be me. I shall. It will be great not because someone created it, but the great thing will be that I created it, whatever it is. If anything, I helped you clarify what you were asking, because your original post (must like this new one) has almost no information for anyone to go on. That post was only yesterday. Since you've already bumped it and posted two new threads. Have some patience - you can't expect someone to come along with an answer in a matter of hours. If no one replies, either your questions is not well formed or no one has an answer for you, which happens. It has nothing to do with anyone wasting your thread.
