[android-developers] Expandable list view not expand when com.facebook.share.widget.LikeView is added to the layout.

I use Expandable list view  to show different restaurants as parent and in 
child i display the user visits to the specific restaurant date wise .

Every thing works fine but when i add a facebook like button in the parent 
, then the list is not expand .

I already try with focusableInTouchMode ='false' and focusable = "false" 
but no success .

when i change the  com.facebook.share.widget.LikeView to button and set 
above parameters then its works .

like view in my layout .





please help me .

Hi,

I'm trying to include two 3rd party libraries which both include 
spongycastle () and gives me the following error,

:app:transformClassesWithJarMergingForDebug FAILED
Error:Execution failed for task 
':app:transformClassesWithJarMergingForDebug'.
> com.android.build.api.transform.TransformException: 
java.util.zip.ZipException: duplicate entry: org/spongycastle/LICENSE.class

Is there a way to let these 2 dependencies co-exist peacefully and if so 
how do I include them both without issues?

In android.app.PendingIntent.java, getBroadcast calls getBroadcastAsUser().

In Context.java, the java comments specifies that sendBroadcastAsUser

I see this exception on devices with OS version 5.1

[android-developers] Is calling Android Dialog.show directly wrong or bad practice

I know this is not a new issue\question, but it's really confusing, here is 
the problem:

   - 
   
   - Now it's recommended to use DialogFragment instead of showDialog
   - 
   
   - Also it's some forums mentioned that it's not recommended to call 
   Dialog.show directly, while the Android ProgressDialog.show 
   

 implementation 
   calling Dialog.show !!!
   
Note1: I know that we can wrap the progress dialog in DialogFragment, but 
I'm confused because it seems OK to call the ProgressDialog.show to show 
the dialog (Nothing mentioned anywhere and in the documentation about it).

Note2: I'm handling the config change in my apps as 
(android:configChanges="orientation|keyboardHidden|screenSize").


So here is the question: Is it OK to call the Dialog.show ?

[android-developers] Pixel C Windows ADB Driver

Debugging on Pixel C constantly crashing so tried to reinstall Google ADB 
driver. Pixel C not recognised/supported.
Have tried editing the drivers .INF files (see accepted answer 
)
 
but this then prevents with following error: "the hash for the file is not 
present in the specified catalog file"

Any sign of updated driver or workaround?

I wrote app for Meteoropathics it is called "Meteoropathic".  

But I'm still looking for a smarter algorytm how weather paramater's 
influnce to be comfortable or uncomfotable. 

When (temperature, presser, etc. etc.) do you feel comfortable and when 
not.

[android-developers] How to get orderId for an autorenewable transaction using Google Play Developer API?

I've developed an android application, in  which inapp subscription is done 
by play store billing version v3. And I implemented Google Play Developer 
api so as to retrieve the subscription status whether it is autorenewable 
or not. 
The GET method of Google Play Developer APi returns this autorenewable 
status along with other details such as Expiry Time, Start Time etc. But I 
couldn't a find a possible solution to retrieve the order id of the 
subscription which is used for backend processing. Where I would get this 
transaction id by Google Play Developer api?

[android-developers] Numberpicker gets stuck

Hello,

I'm creating an app with a customised numberpicker. The customisation is 
done by extending numberpicker widget and updating view. My main wish is to 
set a bigger font for text in picker.

The content of my picker is an array of strings I create in advance and 
then set it as values for picker.
 
timePicker.setMinValue(0);
timePicker.setMaxValue(values.length - 1);
timePicker.setWrapSelectorWheel(false);
timePicker.setDisplayedValues(values);

But now I'm having a weird problem, at first the numberpicker was allowed 
to wrap the selector wheel and the size of the of text was 42, but now as 
I've disabled the wrap I had to make the text smaller or else it gets stuck 
on first and last value.
It looks like that when I scroll to edge values inside picker it scrolls 
over them and so it is needed to scroll some time in the other direction 
before it switches to second from first (or last-1 from last value).

So I would like to know if there is any way to make the font bigger and 
prevent this glitch. Is it maybe something in connection of rowheight that 
when I change the font size it doesn't detect correct scrolling?

You should use webservices to take data from your website in Json format
and send it to android and you can receive json from webservice and display
in App.

[android-developers] Partner apps - Samsung S-health integration

Hi everyone, 

It maybe out of topic here but I am very frustrated by my situation. 
I applied for Partner Apps in http://developer.samsung.com/health  
to integrate my app with S-health 
early last week. 

I "requested" and there was a message showing "Thank you blahblahblah.." 

I am getting nothing no email, no replies from Samsung - S Health until 
now. 
When I login and click "Apply for Partner apps" again, a new form shows. 
there is no way I can view my requested form. 

So, how long do I have to wait to get approval ??
