The UW-Madison is seeking Business Intelligence Data Architect / Developer 
consultant with experience including Oracle Business Intelligence 
Enterprise Edition v. 12c (OBIEE 12c). The successful proposer will assist 
the University in its goal of implementing OBIEE 12c for UW-Madison (Note 
that the foundation for OBIEE 12c will be implemented by the UW System, but 
UW Madison needs to set up its own area of 12c for the best implementation 
for its campus). 
Key Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: 
• Design and develop highly complex technology solutions.

• Recommend best practices for Enterprise BI solution 
• Lead the design and implementation of a quality and stable solution 
The successful contractor must have availability from September 2016

Hey all,

I am looking to use the new dispatchGesture() method in 
AccessibilityService in API 24. I've got it to call my dispatchGesture, but 
the gesture is being cancelled and returning to the onCancelled callback 
every time. I'm not sure where I am going wrong, and there is fairly 
limited documentation since this API is so new.

Google probably needs to bite the bullet and create a real forum.  The 
recruitment stuff could be in it's own section and topics specific to 
development areas.  The Google+ experiment didn't work out so well.  What 
does seem to work are actual forums but that would need to be budgeted and 
at least a small staff to oversee. Stackoverflow is good for certain things 
but I still think a real Android developer forum is needed. Stuff just gets 
too spread out.

[android-developers] Android Studio emulator

Could someone please tell me if the AVD / emulator in Android Studio 2.1.1 
now has a dependency on pulseaudio ?

I am using slackware linux 14.1 x86_64 multilib, and whenever I run the 
emulator I get the following error :

/opt/android-sdk-linux/tools/qemu/linux-x86_64/qemu-system-i386: error while 
loading shared libraries: libpulse.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No 
such file or directory

This even happens when I use the command line and specify the -noaudio 
option.

Is there any workaround or do I need to install pulseaudio ?

[android-developers] 4g of my smartphone stop working

Hi,

 My mobile is a rooted Lenovo a806, with rom miui v7 (android 4.4.2). 4g is 
avaliable in this smartphone.In fact, when I do a "factory reset", 
configure the OS and install my apps,and  it works perfectly. However, a 
meanwhile after that, 4g stop working , only 3g or h+. No idea what is the 
reason for that change. I tried to fix it in network settings but all is 
right. I 've thought of any invasive app like macrodroid or similars. Can 
anyone help me with that?

[android-developers] How to know who is my tablet device_owner?

Hi all,

i tried to set my application the device_owner of my tablet (without ROOT 
or NFC), with the command "adb shell dpm set-device-owner com.test.my
_device_owner_app/.MyDeviceAdminReceiver", like is written on many sites. 
Firs of all i made a factory reset, then i installed my app, and than i 
wrote this command, but the answer is

[android-developers] Floating icons error in my smartphone

realised all app that uses a floating icon like drupe or IV rated haven't 
worked. Maybe any of you can give me an solution, or at least, an

This code is working in moto e2 phone with lollipop android, but not 
working in moto g3 phone with marshmallow android. In marshmallow, map is 
not loading at all in googlemap lite mode. If i remove this attribute( 
map:liteMode="true") in mapview, map is loading but marker is not present.
