hi, how to click on a button after rotation animation in devices starting from level 9? Its a menu of 5items which opens up like cards in our hands and clicking on it after animation should do somethings. It sounds easy but i am having trouble as the the click happens on the original poition and not at the position after the animation. i have used the XML for the animation part, and setfill(true) which causes the images to stay at new positions after animation but its not clickable in the new positions. [android-developers] Android Bluetooth Device Picker Usage
My Application required bluetooth connectivity. And in the first phase I am
trying to open up the standard Activity *"Bluetooth Device Picker"* to help
user scan for new device or chose a device from the list.
The problem is that I am unable to get any working example for the
bluetooth device picker. The task is simple. To start an Activity with
Intent *"android.bluetooth.devicepicker.action.LAUNCH"*
And the device picker is opening without any problem.
But the device picker requires four *extras* and I am unable to figure out
the exact parameters for two of the extras listed below.

.putExtra("android.bluetooth.devicepicker.extra.DEVICE_PICKER_LAUNCH_CLASS","com.extreme.controlcenter.WelcomeActivity")
What I thought the parameters should be that
*"android.bluetooth.devicepicker.extra.LAUNCH_PACKAGE"*
should have the name of my package, so I passed that only. That is *
"com.extreme.controlcenter"*
The second should be the name of the component that must receive the
broadcast that is done after a device is selected. Here I tried putting the
name of the class that has the *onReceive()* function.
But the problem is that the onReceive() function is NOT getting called when
a device is picked in device picker!

I have created an *Intent filter* and registered a receive in the
onCreate() of the main Activity

One thing is that if I don't provide those two extras, the *Broadcast*event is
received successfully. But that code only runs on my TAB, but same
is crashing in cell phone. So I think providing those two extras are
mandatory.

Hi, My RAM usage memory in TaskManager shows two values.What do those two values signify? Are they the numbers for Total free memory/Total memory or Used memory/ Total memory? Also when I do a cat /proc/meminfo, the memory usage details that I get are very much different to the one in Task manager. What is the reason for that or am i comparing two different memory usage details here? Hi, I like to know how to make a PDF Editor on Android. I used PDFBox, iText, PDFRenderer and some other such PDF Library. I found all of these use some core java dependencies which are not supported in Android like java.awt and javax packages. Kindly let me know if there is anyway to convert PDF(Text and images) to JPG after that I can easily edit if it is in image format. PS: in it's desktop version I used imagemagick but neither Ghostscript nor imagemagick can be installed over Android to convert PDF to JPG format for further processing. Hello All, I am having 4 activities and I am displaying those 4 activities in tabs. Tab01 : Content01 | Tab02 : Content02 | Tab03 : Content03 | Tab04 : Content04 | This works fine. But following doesnt work for me. Tab01 : Content01 | Tab11 : Content11 | Tab02 : Content02 | Tab03 : Content03 | Tab04 : Content04 | Above Tab11 means it is using the same activity of Tab01 using. But in Tab11 Instead of Content11 i am seeing Content01. I am able to see the Content11 in Tab11 through intents. But the data which i pass through intents is large. Is there any way to fix this problem. Need help on this. This issue is critical for my application. Immediate help on this issue is appreciated. [android-developers] How to connect to Internet with Wifi when no Cellular Service is present
Hello, I am developing an application where my application needs to communicate to local college server which can be connected only through college local network and not possible through cellular 2G/3G connectivity. I am connected to College Network through Wifi and have disabled Cellular service by removing the SIM. With this setup, Google applications like GMail,Gtalk, browser is working fine. But i m unable to send request to my college network in my application. Need help in how to connect to server through Wifi Connection. Your help is appreciated. Hey guys.. I have two activities Activity-A and Activity-B. >From Activity-A i am calling Activity-B by using startActivity(..) method. I just want Activity-A should disappear with some animation(SLIDE_OUT_LEFT) and Activity-B should appear with some animation(SLIDE_IN_RIGHT). Both should be simultaneous e.g. if Activity-A goes left by 50% then Activity-B should enter 50% from right. I can not use Viewflipper as it works within activity. Can you guys help me out.. [android-developers] Need help in Android - WSDL web service.
Hi I have done following steps and need further help. 1. Created new WSDL for web service. - Need to pass a parameter and get response back. 2. Added WSDL file in Android project. 3. Right clicked on WSDL file in project and Clicked for "Generate Client" - Thiss has generated auto all the classes/interfaces of WSDL file ==> having all address/port/method to be executed/in-out parameters details. Now I need to use WSDL web service method in Android startup class. Will appriciate if anybody can send sample code to access WSDL method and pass value to input parameter and get response back. I have simple WSDL web service file and added into project. Now I am trying to use WSDL web service through android class code, but not able to use it. Can anybody suggest how to import WSDL file in ANdroid, so that it can create auto classes for WSDL file and same can be used ion android main class, where we can send and receive any request/response.
