 I am trying to create a TCP Socketserver in the emulator and also
 create a client that will connect to it within the emulator. Should
 this still need Forwarding rules to be set. Please advise.

I am currently running Fedora 12. I absolutely hate Winders and will
not use it to develop.
And this from an old OS/2 developer.

[android-developers] Need a small tablet platform that runs Android OS.

2010-11-29 Thread MrUmunhum
Hi group,
I have a Peer to Peer VoIP app that I want to port to a tablet/phone
platform. I would use an Android phone but it is too expense! I would
pay $200 for the phone but I don't need/want the phone service. I have
seen some cheap China tablets that would work but have not found any
that allow the user to update the OS.

My requirements are:

* Run the Android OS, with OpenSSL/SSH and sound support
* WiFi connection
* Compact hand held form factor, not a laptop tablet
* Jacks for mic and headset
* SD card
* Camera
* Less than $200
* Long battery life
* USB would be nice

Any pointers?
