[android-developers] BroadcastReceiver to listen incoming call

2009-08-31 Thread Peacemoon

I have a strange behaviour of BroadcastReceiver when trying to listen
incoming call. I set up the BroadcastReceiver to listen to both
incoming calls and sms. The BroadcastReceiver run after the booting is
complete. When first i fake a call into the emulator, i can not catch
the call. I try again with sms and my Broadcastreceiver can catch the
sms correctly. I try again with the incoming call and now the
BroadcastReceiver works. I restart the emulator and try again. It
seems that i always have to fake a sms to trigger the
BroadcastReceiver. After that the BroadcastReceiver behaves correctly
as i want.

What did i do wrong?

Thanks

[android-developers] Re: how to use adb tool on SAMSUNG GALAXY?

2009-07-20 Thread Peacemoon

In the release notes of SDK r3 there is:

"The android tool provides a new command that scans SDK add-ons for
their USB Vendor IDs and makes them available to adb (OS X and Linux
versions of the SDK only). The command is android update adb" .

So under Linux, do i have to wait for Samsung to release this add-on
or i can write this add-on by myself?

[android-developers] An App contains a BroadcastReceiver and an Activity

I want to start a project which contains a BroadcastReceiver and an

But they share a same resource. Can i do it in only one Project (that
means, i use only 1 apk to install both BroadcastReceiver and the
Activity on my phone), or i have to develope them seperately in 2
projects.
Thanks.
