Subject: [android-developers] Search WiFi Subnet Devices Details (IP & MAC)

Hi All,

Its very urgent query.
I am new in android development and struggling for finding all
devices(Network Printers) in WLAN.
In Market, Fing(http://www.over-look.org) is already existing application,
which is having same functionality as i want. But i want this feature in my
application, but dont know the way to do.

Thanks,
Rajeev Singh

RE: [android-developers] Search WiFi Subnet Devices Details (IP & MAC)

2012-01-12 Thread Rajeev Singh Chib
Hi,

I have tried using ADB Commands, but none of command helps.

I tried using WiFiManager in android, but that also provides me ip and mac
of host, but not ip and mac of subnet devices.

I have seen my required functionality in one existing android app named
"fing". I am confused, how to achieve that.

Thanks,

Rajeev Singh

No. "I'm bleeding, where is the hospital?" is an urgent query. This is not.

What have you tried so far?

Hi,

I have already worked on printing side, as I have to print on specific type
of printer. I can print using specific ip address of printer. Now, only the
pending work is finding printers(IP & MAC) in network .

Thanks,
Rajeev Singh

Please do understand that even if you find the network printers, actually
printing to them won't be easy, as there's not printing support in the
android sdk...
