I believe you cold put a variable in the database when the activity is being interrupted, then when resumed, you cold check to see if that variable is setted on the database. Re: [android-developers] overlay webcam
I have never done anything similar to it, but I would advise you to subclass the component you are using and extend the onCanvas() method to put a circle on the place desired. But, as I said, I have never done anything like that, so if I said anything wrong, someone please correct me. 2012/1/18 Etienne Le Néchet > Hello, > > I develop an application which use camera...but I want an overlay. Why don't you make a thread that keeps checking for changes on the file, than, if a change is detected, you can update all the data... Or, create a button "update data now"... I would suggest you to use a regular expression and create a String array from the input String, so you can get whatever you want from the array. Re: [android-developers] how to debug the code when using camera of device(mobile)
I have never used USB deugging, but that should do the trick... Connect with the USB the device you want to use, and set eclipse to look for a connection on the USB, instead on the emulator. Just saying again that I have never used it, if anyone has ever done it, please add your answer. Re: [android-developers] How to Plot Line Graph
Hi there! I have that difficulty myself, and I tried to make a custom view that could be used to create a graph plotter. It is a bit tricky (not difficult, though), and if you decide to try it, it could be interesting. However, after a some time coding I found that the effort wasn't rewarding enough for me, so I found a few modules that can solve my (and your) problem: Graph View: http://android.arnodenhond.com/components/graphview Chart droid: http://code.google.com/p/chartdroid/ Android plot: http://androidplot.com/wiki/Home A Chart Engine: http://code.google.com/p/achartengine/ Of the above, the only one I have tried is Graph View, and it is simple and good looking. Too simple for me, however. [android-developers] onDraw not being called
Hi everyone! I am trying to make a custom component, so for testing purposes I made a view that draws a white line. The code for the component follows: public class CGrafico extends SurfaceView implements SurfaceHolder.Callback{ public CGrafico(Context context) { super(context); } public CGrafico(Context context, AttributeSet attrs) { super(context, attrs); } public CGrafico(Context context, AttributeSet attrs, int defStyle) { super(context, attrs, defStyle); } @Override protected void onDraw(Canvas canvas) { super.onDraw(canvas); Paint estilo = new Paint(); estilo.setARGB(255, 50, 55, 55); canvas.drawLine(0.0f, 0.0f, 10.0f, 10.0f, estilo); } @Override public void surfaceChanged(SurfaceHolder holder, int format, int width, intheight) { } @Override public void surfaceCreated(SurfaceHolder holder) { } @Override public void surfaceDestroyed(SurfaceHolder holder) { } } I declared it on the xml layout just with the android:layout_width and the android:layout_height properties defined, both set to "fill_parent", and the main class of the application just calls setContentView with the XML layout as an argument. My problem is that I have tested and the line the custom view was supposed to draw is not appearing, in fact, the onDraw function is not even being executed. I have tried to understand the example codes, and the developer page on Canvas and drawing, but I am too much of a newbie to see what I am doing wrong. Anyone have an idea on how to make it work?
