I have seen these error messages all the time. I normally needed to restart my emulator with "-wipe-data" to get back to normal. I noticed that those error messages began to appear after my program crashed a few times or some other programs were not responding such as gtalkservice.
Yes, it is very annoying as it normally took over the entire CPU cycle whenever that happened.
