Why are copyrighted apps hidden?

The only apps that are hidden are copy-protected apps. If their is a priced
application that does not use that feature, it currently shows up on my dev
 phone.

One catch that I have discovered is that you need to have a SIM in the
 phone.

hopping that it will, because otherwise we will be not able to see the
competition`s apps and many more features which will be missing if
there is no payed apps on the phone.

  Thanks!

[android-developers] Re: Could be better?!?!

Well,
IMHO charging for a pinger, even $1, is ridiculous.

 HA!

If I didn't laugh at this I would cry. An individual bought our second
application today, a simple app which allows the user to Ping and
search Whois information. It is called Pinger and cost $1.00.

It was returned with the comment Could be better. Um, of course it
could be better! You only paid $1.00!!! What did you expect? The app
is fully functioning, error handling, etc and works as anyone familiar
with Pings and Whois would expect.

Do I understand the TOS correctly? The return of this $1.00 app is
going to cost me the chargeback fees ($10) from the credit card
company, is that correct? Unfortunately, in order to ensure this
scenario doesn't happen again we have removed this app and then
increased the price on our first application from $3.99 (which we
thought was fair and was selling well) to $10.99 thus breaking the
 return barrier of the TOS.

Utterly amazed at how this has been handled...

I wasn't aware verizon had sim cards.

If I understand previous posts, a Verizon SIM card won't work in the G1 or

A phone needs a SIM card in order to work.  You'll have to buy one,
 from a carrier.

Unlocked means that you can buy any SIM that you want, ATT, T-
Mobile, etc., and it will work in the phone.  A locked phone will only
work with the with a SIM from the company that sold you the phone.

The phone is not a brick.  There are instructions around, for getting
it running, with just the USB cable.  After you follow them, you will
be able to use Apps, Wireless, GPS, etc., just not the phone.

Well I thought I didn't need a Sim Card? Says it was unlocked?

So I put in battery and no Sim Card. So I start the phone and it says,
No Sim Card. No Sim Card In Phone. I hit the Menu button and nothing
happens. Open up the keyboard and nothing happens.

  I know I am a newbie, but am I missing something? Do I need a sim card/
  cell phone plan subscription?

Right now I have an artist who is working on a background for a
application. I want to test to see how it would look on the phone.

But how do I do this? I does not come with instruction book, is there
a place online that explains this a bit?
